The DSLMB is factory-equipped with a standard XLR microphone connector (male type), which allows direct connection to the transmitter unit of the Zeck D.A.I.SY wireless system. Do not connect tne DSHS to any device other than the D.A.I.SY transmitter or other appropriate microphone inputs. Caution: Never connect the DSLMB to an amplifier output. This might result in electric shock and destruction of the microphone.
Description
The Zeck DSLMB is an ultra-linear lavalier condenser microphone with omnidirectional polar pattern. These specifications make this microphone highly suitable for speech reproduction without the need of obstructive microphone setups with highest possible freedom of movement. The firm attachment maintains the microphone's relative position to the user while the omnidirectional polar pattern produces a large pickup field. Its highly transpa- rent and clean treble reproduction allows the DSLMB to be used also for acoustic instruments of all kinds.
The DSLMB comes complete with 1,40m long cable, XLR plug, tie-clip and detachable anti-pop windscreen.
Hints for use
For speech reproduction, simply attach the DSLMB to your clothing, approximately in height of your chest and facing upwards. Thanks to the omnidirectional pickup pattern, a precise alignment of the microphone is not required.
On theater stages, the DSLMB can be used hidden inside the decoration for supportive sound amplification.
When used with acoustic instruments, a litt- le experimentation will quickly find you the right spot for placement of the DSLMB. Here are some guidelines for the most common instruments:
Acoustic guitar! at the soundhole edge, aimed inside the instrument.
String instruments and plugged instruments without soundhole! at the saddle or f-hole.
Brass instruments! at the funnel edge. Adjust for clearest reproduction.
